The MOLB Core Research Facility is part of the Core University Research Resources Laboratory (CURRL). Located in the Chemistry & Biochemistry Building, MMAS provides complete DNA sequencing services, including Fragment and Microsatellite Analyses, along with assistance for other multi-user instrumentation for molecular analyses.
The MOLB Core Research Facility was established to provide cutting edge technology for molecular analysis to NMSU researchers. At present, we provide DNA sequencing services using one 4300 DNA Analyzer, and ABI3130xL Genetic Analyzer.
We also maintain several multi-user systems such as ABI 7700 Sequence Detector, Molecular Dynamics STORM system, FOTO/Analyst Electronic Imaging system, Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer, Tecan GENios, Packard Liquid Scintillation Analyzer, and Perkin Elmer UV/VIS Spectrometer. In the future, we hope to expand our capabilities acquiring new technologies as they become available.
